This book truly celebrates the beauty and majesty of Britain’s ancient oaks. Illustrator Mark Frith spent four year’s meticulously capturing the detail of these trees to build a collection of twenty portraits. The book is dedicated to Felix Dennis who was patron of the project. On his death in 2014 he donated ten of the illustrations to Kew Gardens and ten to his own charity, The Heart of England Forest. In turn the charity lent their portraits to Kew Gardens to display and launch the book. The book is quarter bound and printed on 150 gsm Munken Print White. We were delighted to welcome Mark to Vicenza for him to see his book printing.
